College Board Account Access and Score Reporting

Students need to be able to log into their College Board account.

Students must know their College Board username and password and have a safe place to keep this information, so they can retrieve it closer to exam day. It is important that your personal information in your College Board account is accurate. You must use your legal name, correct date of birth, etc. Inaccurate information could jeopardize your ability to test or access your scores.

If any students need to correct information in their account, they should contact AP Services for Students at 888-225-5427, apstudents@info.collegeboard.org as soon as possible. The College Board will send students important email reminders before exam day to the email address associated with their College Board account.

Check your email frequently, particularly in the weeks before their exam. If students are not receiving email updates from the AP Program, they should:

1. Sign in to My AP (myap.collegeboard.org)
2. Confirm their email address: Click their profile in the top right corner. Go to Account Settings and confirm that their email address is the one they want to use for 2026 AP Exam reminders. If they need to change their email address, they should click Update.
3. In Subscriptions, they should confirm they’ve checked the box to receive updates from College Board.
4. Finally, they should create a new contact with the email address collegeboard@e.collegeboard.org in their address book or safe sender list.

Score Reporting to Colleges

SENIORS: To add your free score report recipient, you will need to sign in to MyAP (myap.collegeboard.org) and go to My AP profile. Click the Score Send tab. Students will indicate the college, university, or scholarship program they want to receive their free score. For 2026, this may be reported only through My AP.

AP Credit policy

Please review the following:

• Check MY AP to confirm your name, scheduled exams, dates, and times.  If there is an issue, notify your AP coordinator immediately.
• Please review the College Board  AP Exams Terms and Conditions page.  These are the Terms and Conditions you are required to follow in order to take your AP exam. 
• As per College Board guidelines you must agree to go to AP Exam Policies and Guidelines  prior to test day and review any updates from College Board.
• Please review AP What to Bring on Exam Day prior to test day.
• Please review the AP Calculator policy prior to test day.

• Seniors sign up for free score reporting in MY AP.

Other information:

• No shows: If a student is a no-show for their AP exam, there is no refund. Students must cancel their exam by 5/1/26 to receive a partial refund. To cancel, log in to your Total Registration account and request a partial refund.
• Bring a photo ID for check-in and your own #2 pencils and pen, and a school Chromebook (for exams with digital administration).
• Afternoon exams will most likely not be released in time for bus transportation.  Students will need to secure their own ride to and from school and make all other arrangements with coaches, bosses, etc., prior to the start of the exam, as you will not be allowed to access your phone during the exam. 
• If a student is testing both in the morning and afternoon on the same day, bring your lunch.

Advanced Placement exam administration will take approximately four hours per exam. Students may not be dismissed until an Advanced Placement exam has officially ended; do not ask to leave early, even if everyone else has also completed the exam. If you play a sport or have a job, etc., it is your responsibility to inform your coach/employer/etc., of your Advanced Placement exam schedule, and make arrangements accordingly.

Get a good night's rest before your exam, and eat a nutritious breakfast. You are allowed to bring a small snack and water for your 10-minute break (not to be consumed at your desk). It is advisable to dress in layers, in case the room temperature is below your comfort level.

You should bring the following items to the exam room:

• Several sharpened number two pencils with erasers for all multiple choice answer sheets (mechanical pencils are not allowed).
• Several pens with black or dark blue ink.
• Up to two calculators, but only for authorized exams. Clarify with your instructor in advance and visit www.collegeboard.org/ap/calculators to verify whether a calculator is approved and what capabilities are authorized.  For example, four function with square root?  Scientific? Graphic?
• Most exams will be digital or hybrid. Students will need to bring a fully charged school Chromebook to the exam.

You should not bring the following to the exam room:

• Electronic equipment of any kind (except approved devices being used for the exam). Prohibited electronic equipment includes: phones, smartwatches, smart glasses or wearable technology of any kind, laptops, tablet computers, Bluetooth devices**, portable listening or recording devices, cameras or other photographic equipment, devices that can access the internet, separate timers of any type, and any other electronic or communication devices.
• All stylus pens, Apple pens, smart pens, iPad pencils, and other electronic writing instruments.
• Books, notebooks, compasses, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, or notes.
• Mechanical pencils, No. 3 pencils, or colored pencils.
• Rulers or straightedges (these are allowed only for Physics exams).
• Protractors.
• Scratch paper.
• Computers or calculators (except as previously noted).
• Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions.
• Watches that beep or have an alarm.
• Food or drink.
• Clothing or shoes with subject-related information.
• Head coverings (hats, brimmed caps, etc.) are not permitted while testing. Head coverings worn for medical or religious reasons are permitted during testing provided they do not obstruct testing staff’s ability to view the test taker’s eyes and ears.
• Ear plugs or headphones.
• Clipboards.
• Privacy screens.
• Separate computer monitors. 

*Unless an item has been preapproved as an accommodation by the College Board SSD office before the exam date.

Students are required to abide by the policies of both the College Board and the Lake Oswego School District during the exam period. Any misconduct will be reported and could jeopardize a student's Advanced Placement exam grade.
