2026-2027 Testing Schedule
For college admissions, most schools remain test-optional or test-free, but some schools and specific programs are reinstating testing, requiring SAT/ACT scores for clarity. The Digital SAT is standard, while the ACT offers both digital and paper options, with students needing to decide based on individual strengths, aiming to test strategically in 11th/12th grade for potential retests. Key is checking each college's policy, as the landscape is mixed, with many major universities still favoring flexibility.
All public universities in Oregon are test-optional. SAT and/or ACT are not required for admissions.
Key Dates
- SAT 12th-grade: October 1, 2026
- PSAT 11th-grade: Wednesday and Thursday, October 21-22. 2026
- Pre-ACT: Wednesday and Thursday, February 24-25, 2027
- SAT: Tuesday, March 16, 2027
